On Demand Delivery Couriers in a few simple steps
Step 1: Customer places an order
A customer may place an order through your own channels (such as your website, app, or phone), or through a third-party app like the Union Jack Marketplace (Note) If you have a shop on the Union Jack Marketplace you can choose to automate your deliveries without requesting a courier - This will be intergrated on your shop when you sign up.
Step 2: Request an On Demand Delivery Courier
Simply scan the unique QR code you will be given when you sign up. Fill in the quick form it displays in your browser including your collection details along with the customer details for the delivery. On the next step our system will calculate and display the delivery cost. If your happy with the price and details simply place the order and a courier will be despatched at the required time.
Step 3: Delivery Courier picks up the order
Shortly before your requested collection time our fully automated system will send out an invite using our delivery app to the closest driver to your collection address with the delivery details. The Courier has the option to accept or decline your request. If declined it will instantly be sent to every courier in the local area who is online at that time. Once your order is accepted by a Courier they will head to the collection address, collect the goods.
Step 4: The Delivery
Once the delivery courier has collected the order they will click the delivery app and be navigated to the delivery address, at the same time your customer will be notified by sms that there order is on the way along with an ETA and full tracking details.
Once the order is delivered, your customer is happy, your happy and our courier is away to their next job.
On Demand Delivery Charges
On Demand Delivery is charged on distance between the collection address and delivery address, we do not charge for the courier travelling to your business. Union Jack charge a standard rate of £2.60 for the first 2 miles, its then £0.30p per mile after.
Any on demand deliveries will be invoiced to your business at the end of every day, you have the option to pay by cash, bank transfer or debit or credit card.
